Standard Job Description

Systems Engineering work to include but not limited to leading requirements development, tracking, and verification testing of a system. A strong background in system integration and test is required for performing platform level Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing.  A background in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) including Radio Frequency (RF) systems, RF COSITE analysis, antenna systems and measurement, RF/Fiber optic cabling, antenna radome performance, system intra-operability, aircraft power systems, electromagnetic radiation hazard (EMRADHAZ), electrical wiring design and avionics hardware is desired.  Oversee the electronmagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing of developmental and deployable systems or payloads onto various flight test fighter platforms. EMC design of flight test modification test procedures are required to ensure proper implementation.  This role requires domestic travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • STEM degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering or Physics
  • System integration testing experience

Desired Skills

  • Experience/Knowledge in electrical circuit analysis, electromagnetic interference (EMI)
  • Coursework/understanding/project/work experience with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic wave theory (Maxwell's Laws)
  • Coursework/understanding/project/work experience with electrical grounding concepts for circuits designs and antennas.
  • Familiar/Experience with standard test equipment, i.e. Spectrum Analyzer, volt/ohm meter, oscilloscope, Network Analyzer.
  • Basic understanding of RF propagation and principles is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience using standard office software tools/solutions. e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project). 
 

 

Interview Questions

Analytical Ability: Give an example of a time you identified a small problem and took action to fix it before it became a major problem. What were the potential pitfalls you were trying to avoid?
Communication: Can you describe a time when you had to deliver a presentation or report to your team or to a group of stakeholders. Who was the audience, how did you prepare and what technology platform did you use to deliver it? How did it turn out?
Decision Making/ Judgement: Give an example of a time when you had to be relatively quick in coming to a decision involving work. What were the challenges in coming to that decision, and how did you overcome them?
Foster innovation: Describe a time when you came up with a creative solution to a work problem you had been dealing with for some time.
Make effective decisions: We all make decisions that turn out to be mistakes. Describe a decision you made at work that you wish you could do over.
Prioritization: Describe a time at work where you had to juggle several projects at the same time. How did you decide which projects or activities to focus on? What tradeoffs did you make?

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
