Standard Job Description

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline. (Preferred: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics).
  • Experience with functional and interface knowledge of one or mor of the following avionics sensors: Electronic Warfare, RADAR, and/or Communication, Navigation, Identification (CNI), Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) subsystems.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams utilizing industry best practices.
  • Experience with requirements management.

Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of product development.
  • Experience in development of avionics hardware-in-the-loop lab systems.
  • Experience working with Global Supply Chain including a working knowledge of FAR and TINA Federal Regulations.
  • Experience in system requirements development and allocation, system design, system integration and verification on complex systems.
  • Experience in configuration management and data management.
  • Working knowledge of military threat analysis.
  • Experience in development and execution of system test procedures.
  • Experience in delivering products to external customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in detail planning to include estimating and task scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and how it applies to project decision making.
  • Strong technical leadership.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using IBM Rational DOORS requirements management tool.
  • Experience with Cameo modeling tool.
  • Experience with MS Office 365 suite including Project and Visio.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
