This position is for a Mid-level Technician whose primary assignment will consist of engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing and laboratory operations responsibility. Some climbing on ladders may be required as well as lifting up to 25 pounds, pushing and pulling of electronic equipment on carts, and working on test stations. These responsibilities will include fabrication of harnesses, electronic/electrical chassis and subassembly panels, mechanical rack fabrication, and various modifications to mechanical racks and electronic test stations using development engineering drawings. Ability to visualize and build electronic racks with minimal defects and little to no supervision. Candidate must be capable of working independently and in a team environment and discussing technical issues with Build Lead.

Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze technical issues and propose effective solutions.

Ability to communicate technical project details clearly, including interpretation of engineering documentation, fabrication methods, and cost/schedule planning.

 

Basic Qualifications

Experience with Electrical/Mechanical schematic interpretation, cable fabrication and Rack building

Experience with Hand Soldering, Crimping and Cable fabrication.

Experience with MS Office and Excel.

Desired Skills

· Ability to engage, communicate, and interact with engineers, leadership/management, and program customers, especially through the presentation of ideas and negotiation of priorities.
· Logical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to visualize and discuss optimal fabrication approach to build or modify mechanical/electronic/electromechanical assemblies.
· Experience fabricating electrical harness assemblies (splicing, soldering, and crimping) in a quality-controlled environment, with knowledge of relevant standards.
· Experience generating, modifying, and providing feedback for engineering drawings with a focus on design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.

Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00
