You will bring your knowledge of materials, mechanical design, and machining to contribute and grow within a dynamic exciting team environment making world class technology in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

The Senior Dewar Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for sustaining and develop manufacturing processes and equipment within the Integrated Dewar Cooler Assembly (IDCA) manufacturing line. Process areas include, but are not limited to; precision alignment, inspection, wire bonding, welding, soldering, vacuum baking, adhesive formulation, and dispense among others.

As a senior process engineer in this group, you will work with the System Design and Engineering team to design the assembly sequence (manufacturing router), tooling, and inspection requirements for new products introduced to the factory. You will perform sustainment activities on the existing production line to resolve defects and rework strategies. You will characterize process capabilities to meet product requirements and lead root cause corrective action activities to resolve production defects. You will also evaluate product life cycle, product hardware level requirements, and participate in production readiness reviews. You will bring your skill in data analytics to evaluate and propose improvement strategies to drive first pass yield improvements and perform pareto analysis for process and/or product related defects.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience with a Master's degree in an engineering discipline
• Experience with mechanical design, statics, and machining requirements
• Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), familiar with DOE analysis, and have excellent engineering documentation skills and communication skills
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated experience with hermetic packaging
• Experience using and formulating adhesive materials
• Experience with creating models and drawing packages using CREO
• Experience with programing such as G-Code
• Strong critical thinking skills and solution driven
• Experience in vacuum technology
• Experience with automation / design for automation best practice
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams on projects of moderate complexity. Ability to interface effectively from the technician level to senior management

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00
