The Product Sustainment Engineer (Process Integration Engineering team) drives depot‑level repair, modification, and refurbishment of Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCA) across multiple programs. Acting as the logistics liaison, you’ll coordinate material repairs/upgrades and deliver data‑driven recommendations for procurement and sustainment planning.

As a Sustainment Engineer, you’ll collaborate with engineering and business teams to coordinate repairs, aggregate functional inputs, and author basis‑of‑estimate documents for upcoming sustainment contracts. You’ll also conduct root‑cause analysis on field returns, characterize failure modes, and deliver actionable feedback to improve production processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead fault isolation, troubleshooting, test‑data analysis, and root‑cause investigations.
  • Disposition repair instructions and document workflows in maintenance data‑collection systems (AMS and Apriso).
  • Oversee and track repairs, retrofits, and upgrades.
  • Serve as a primary logistics contact, updating stakeholders on hardware status and repair progress.
  • Analyze failure modes and provide technical feedback to production and engineering to enhance reliability.
  • Consolidate functional inputs and author basis‑of‑estimate documents for future sustainment contracts.

Basic Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or Similar Engineering discipline
Minimum 2 Years of Experience related to Manufacturing Engineering Disciplines (Product/Process/Operations/Quality)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must be a US Citizen- This role requires a US Secret Clearance and special access due to work location.

Full-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00
