Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Staff E3/EMC (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) Engineer to serve as a technical authority and thought leader within our E3 Engineering organization. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role is suited for an experienced E3/EMC professional who can drive technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, and shape the direction of E3 capabilities across multiple programs.
What You Will Be Doing
The Staff E3/EMC Engineer will serve as a recognized subject matter expert and technical leader, providing architectural guidance and strategic direction for E3/EMC controls across the MFC portfolio. Responsibilities may include:
• Defining and driving E3 requirements allocation and control-plan strategy, establishing technical roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with program and enterprise-level objectives
• Serving as the technical authority for EMI/EMC design, analysis, and test across multiple programs, providing independent review and approval of critical technical artifacts
• Leading complex root-cause investigations and corrective action development for EMI issues spanning circuit card, box, and system-level integration
• Directing MIL-STD-461/464 qualification test programs, including test plan approval, chamber test witnessing, and data package sign-off
• Leading HERO/HERP/HERF, self-compatibility, co-site interference, and lightning/HIRF protection analysis across host platforms
• Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level E3/EMC engineers, conducting technical training, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence
• Leading or contributing to proposal efforts, including technical volume writing, basis of estimate development, and competitive strategy for E3-related scope
• Representing E3 Engineering in customer-facing engagements, design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and program milestone reviews
• Establishing and enforcing E3 design standards, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization
• Collaborating with program management, systems engineering, and cross-functional leadership to align E3 technical execution with cost, schedule, and performance commitments

Basic Qualifications
| • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree or PhD preferred • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in E3/EMC engineering or a related discipline • Demonstrated experience leading MIL-STD-461/464 qualification programs, including test plan development, chamber test execution, and compliance data package generation • Strong expertise in grounding, bonding, shielding, and filtering design for circuit cards, enclosures, and cable/harness assemblies • Experience developing and allocating E3 requirements and control plans at the system level • Experience with EMI root-cause investigation and corrective action development across integration and test • Familiarity with HERO/HERP/HERF, self-compatibility, and lightning/HIRF protection analysis • Proficient with MS Office applications, especially Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills • Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance |

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
