Standard Job Description

Manages the design, development, implementation, verification and testing of algorithms to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

You will be the E&T Manager for the Systems Engineering team at MFC-Dallas. Our team is responsible for driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, and this role will involve managing and developing a team, supporting department initiatives, and driving technical excellence.

What You Will Be Doing
As the E&T Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing your team, supporting department initiatives, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. You will provide technical coaching and mentoring, support employee career development, and drive program execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing technical coaching and mentoring to team members
* Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training
* Supporting program development and execution of program requirements
* Promoting customer focus and serving as the technical conscience for your program
* Managing employee performance, salary planning, and recognition/disciplinary actions

Basic Qualifications

• Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active DoD Secret security clearance or greater.
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment.
• Proficient in one or more Flight Technologies discipline areas.
• Must already be a Lockheed Martin employee in the Tactical Missiles Flight Technologies section.

Desired Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Experience with one or more of the following:
• Modeling and Simulation
• Guidance, Navigation, and Control

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
