You will be the Quality Engineer Sr for the Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product and process quality across the product lifecycle.

 

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Engineer Sr you will be responsible for applying quality principles, conducting technical evaluations, and driving continuous improvement across design, production, and supplier domains.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and supplier processes.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and procedures.
  • Lead product failure investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, performing statistical analysis.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

 

Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline from an accredited institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain interim secret clearance prior to start
  • Experience applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to mechanical and/or electrical designs, including interpretation of drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience with aerospace quality systems (AS9100 and/or ISO 9001), including creation and management of non‑conformance documentation, Material Review Board (MRB) authority, root‑cause analysis, and corrective‑action implementation
  • Experience conducting first‑article inspections, critical‑design reviews, or supplier‑quality audits for mechanical/electrical assemblies, and generating associated performance metrics 

Desired Skills

  • STEM Degree at bachelors level or higher preferred
  • Experience designing or reviewing aerospace electrical hardware (e.g., printed wiring boards, wiring harnesses, connectors)
  • Familiarity with J‑STD‑001 and IPC‑610/IPC‑620 standards for electronic assembly
  • Working knowledge of the MFC SAP and Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) business systems
  • ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black-Belt certification 
  • Demonstrated leadership and customer‑relationship‑management abilities in a supplier‑facing environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
