  • Perform geometry assessments, support strategy evaluations, build orientation studies, and design trade analyses.
  • Develop and modify engineering designs in Creo to support AM development and program needs.
  • Support engineering efforts tied to active programs, ensuring designs meet technical, manufacturing, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with program stakeholders to mature hardware designs and integrate AM solutions where appropriate.
  • Evaluate AM processes and resulting hardware to inform design improvements and manufacturability.
  • Analyze build results, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall manufacturability.
  • Utilize advanced design and computational tools such as Creo, nTopology, Materialise Magics, 3DXpert, and related digital engineering platforms.
  • Support digital thread activities, including data management, configuration control, and traceability within PLM/MES environments.

  • Experience with mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawing/model development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Professional experience in mechanical engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or product development.
  • Experience applying DfAM principles to hardware development.
  • Experience with computational design tools such as nTopology or similar advanced digital engineering tools.
  • Additional CAD experience with CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with AM processes and related design considerations.
  • Experience with PLM, MES, or other digital thread/configuration management systems.
  • Experience supporting development or production programs in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document and present technical results clearly.
