Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a full time Systems Architecture & Requirements Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas to be responsible for developing and managing the program's system architecture and requirements activities using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques. You will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions to our customer.  This job requires the applicant to be able to develop models for current and future system designs, serve as the focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture and requirements for various stakeholders.  The successful candidate will perform system architecture design using SysML based tools, perform system functionality definition including system states and modes, define system design for software requirements/functional interfaces and mission planning features, synthesize design characteristics into an implementable system architecture, develop and maintain requirements databases in DOORS or Cameo and document requirements compliance during verification and validation activities.

As a Systems Design & Requirements Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Developing a system architecture using MBSE techniques
• Developing models for current and future system designs
• Developing system and system element architectures, designs, and interface definitions
• Supporting internal and external design reviews
• Performing system architecture design using SysML based tools
• Defining system functionality, including system states and modes
• Defining system design for software requirements and functional interfaces
• Synthesizing design characteristics into an implementable system architecture
• Working with the requirements management team to ensure accuracy of the subsystem element model
• Coordinating with the team for modeling and simulation scenarios, and predicted performance
• Supporting system timelines and working with software and hardware teams
• Documenting system design and implementation for various use case scenarios
• Conducting model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance and behaviors

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.  This position requires an interim clearance prior to start.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, math or physics
• 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or 4 years of professional experience required with a related PhD
• Experience with requirements definition and management tools, CAMEO and DOORS
• Experience with system architecture design and development
• Experience with Cameo modeling
• Experience with the flow of system level requirements to testable structures and modular hardware and software using DOORS and Cameo
• Perform detail system verification activities including definition of verification methodology
• Ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff members
• Ability to work onsite.

• Perform requirements definition of design characteristics for an objective system
• Synthesize design characteristics into system architecture
• Knowledge of and experience with missile systems
• Integration and Test
• Define system tolerances and timelines
• Conduct a thorough functional configuration audit with verification evidence provided
• C++, Python and MATLAB experience is a plus

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
