Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a full time Early-Career Systems Design & Requirements Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas. In this role, you will develop a system architecture using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques, develop models for current and future system designs, develop system and system element architectures, designs, and interface definitions while supporting necessary internal and external design reviews, and serve as the focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture for the various stakeholders including both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will perform system architecture design using SysML based tools, perform system functionality definition including system states and modes, define system design for software requirements/functional interfaces and mission planning features, and synthesize design characteristics into an implementable system architecture.

What You Will Be Doing

• Working with requirements management team to ensure accuracy of the subsystem element model within the overall system model and linking with the subsystem requirements.
• Coordination with the team for modelling and simulation scenarios, and predicted performance.
• Supporting system timelines and working with software and hardware teams.
• Documentation of system design and implementation for various use case scenarios.
• Conducting model based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance/behaviors.

This position requires ability to obtain a DoD Secret
clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications

- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance
- Must have a BS degree or above in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, math, or physics
- Ability to work onsite.
- Related experience achieved through internship or previous work experience

 

Desired Skills

- Proficient in DOORS, MATLAB, Model Based Systems
- Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo and Data Hub.
- Understanding of basic missile system design principles is preferred.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
