Standard Job Description

This role is a unique hybrid opportunity, with approximately 50% of the role focused on senior-level graphic design and 50% supporting the acquisition, production, and delivery of branded giveaways, awards, and specialty items for high-visibility events and initiatives. As a member of the Program and Capture team, the selected candidate will support internal and external efforts related to program capture, business ventures, and keep sold campaigns in support of Lockheed Martin's Long Range Planning Commitments. You will independently lead projects, provide creative guidance to stakeholders, uphold Lockheed Martin brand standards, and apply sound design judgment to develop effective solutions across print, digital, environmental, presentation, and event-related media.

In the branded merchandise and events portion of the role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to functional teams and other stakeholders supporting high-visibility internal and external events. You will lead the end-to-end acquisition and production of specialty giveaways, awards, and branded items—from defining requirements and identifying appropriate products and vendors through quoting, design review, production, quality assurance, logistics, and final delivery.

This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to represent Lockheed Martin when working with domestic and international suppliers. You will evaluate vendors and quotes, establish production expectations, review samples and finished products for quality and brand alignment, and hold suppliers accountable for cost, quality, schedule, and delivery requirements.

You will also partner with internal organizations and vendors to coordinate specialty production and fulfillment, including large-format graphics, awards, promotional items, and other event deliverables. Responsibilities may include coordinating legal and copyright reviews.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to independently navigate complex projects with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and competing priorities. You will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement, document and share knowledge, and help establish sustainable processes that support continuity and enable others to successfully execute the work.

This position is ideal for a senior creative professional who enjoys both design and operational execution, can move comfortably between creative development and vendor management, and is motivated by delivering high-quality, highly visible work that reflects the Lockheed Martin brand.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Professional experience developing visual communication solutions across multiple media, including print, digital, presentations, environmental graphics, events, or marketing communications.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience independently leading creative projects from concept through production, managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Experience partnering with clients, stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, creative problem-solving, and effective visual communication across multiple media.
  • Experience communicating creative concepts, recommendations, and project statuses to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting high-visibility events, executive engagements, trade shows, awards, ceremonies, or experiential marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with branded merchandise, specialty giveaways, awards, promotional products, or custom-produced items, including vendor sourcing, quotes, proofs, quality review, and delivery.
  • Knowledge of production processes and materials, including printing, fabrication, large-format graphics, apparel, awards, and specialty manufacturing.
  • Experience coordinating legal, copyright, trademark, or other compliance requirements for creative or branded products.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and ability to independently solve problems and make decisions in ambiguous or changing situations.
  • Experience identifying process improvements, documenting standard work, and developing resources that support knowledge continuity.
  • Experience across related creative disciplines such as photography, videography, motion graphics, animation, web design, or content creation.
  • Familiarity with emerging creative technologies, including AI-assisted design and content creation.
