Standard Job Description
Performs total aircraft investigations and engineering and technical analysis with company, customer and safety investigation boards to document quality requirements for airworthiness certifications. Analysis is conducted on new, refurbished, or modified aircraft or as a result of a mishap. Documents findings for safety, investigative and regulatory reports. Advocates and embraces Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Safety Management System (SMS) promotions and supports employee-identified aviation safety concern investigations.
Basic Qualifications
The following Basic Qualifications are skills a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree or above in STEM
- Experience with military aviation either as aircrew, aircraft maintenance, or engineering
- Experience with aviation safety program management including aircraft damage reporting, mishap response plans, risk management, safety audits, MACA, BASH, etc.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills
- Military aviation experience with fighter/attack aircraft
- Root cause analysis, risk/hazard analysis, aircraft mishap investigations
- Knowledge of DCMA Inst 8210 and 14 CFR Part 5; familiarity with MIL-STD-882
- Knowledge of aircraft systems safety engineering or safety management systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, presentation and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong MS Office and MS Teams tools skills
- Experience to independently work with cross-functional teams
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
