Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
What You Will Be Doing
Primary responsibility will be structural build of Forward Fuselage components. Manage financial control plans, schedules, Earned Value Management Systems to baseline and metric standards as well as direct and indirect overhead budget. Foster "COA" Culture Of Accountability and drive "CI" Continuous Improvement, Staff and manage technical proficiency levels to ensure a trained, qualified, skilled workforce. Instill quality, product disciplines and stringent adherence to the Production absolutes. Foster customer relations building rapport and confidence between the DCMA and our System Program Office. Foster an environment where the diverse talents and perspectives of our people power innovative solutions for our customers and drives business success. Help employees and the organization move effectively and efficiently through change by facilitating implementation and acceptance. Adjust quickly and effectively to new strategies, business models, goals, or the customer's changing priorities. Assist in managing all aspects of the business; safety, quality, schedule, cost, resources, logistics/Production Control, equipment and process/procedure. Help develop strategies to package and absorb out-of-station work, in-span to prevent disruption to normal production sequence/flow. Drive focus toward continuous process improvement, corrective action and expeditious implementation of robust, relevant corrective action plans. Resolve complex technical issues and deliver quality FOD Free products.
Ensures the Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule performance for assigned production area.
Accomplishes results through lower level subordinate supervisors and employees.
Assist area manager in the staffing levels to achieve financial and performance commitments.
Provides effective customer interface to foster relationships and ensure understanding of customer expectations.
Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost and schedule performance.
Recognizes and rewards superior individual performance and effectively addresses poor performance issues.
Creates a culture that ensures accountability and trust while ensuring compliance with Company Policies & Procedures.
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience leading a team in Aviation disciplines, Aviation Production relating to Military Aviation or Manufacturing, Structures Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair Overhaul (MMRO) Operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading a team to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and/or time sensitive technical or operational issues.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or 6 years Combined Aviation Production, Maintenance, Modification, Repair and Overhaul (MMRO)
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to create and utilize metrics related to performance.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Shop Floor Manager (SFM) experience is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to understand budget for the assigned department and budget performance.
- Demonstrated ability to create, monitor and report on all executive operations metrics.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00
