Standard Job Description
Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Insures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Provides day-to-day leadership for Base/Flight Operations, Fuel Farm, and Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) teams. This role ensure safe, efficient, and compliant site-wide operations while integrating the three functional areas into a cohesive, high-performing organization. The incumbent will act as a trusted liaison between senior leadership, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and maintaining a culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise a mixed team of individual contributors conducting performance evaluations, develop career plans and mentor team members.
- Address any performance issues and resolve conflicts across diverse personalities and work styles.
- Oversee daily base/flight operations including sitewide notifications and movements, proper emergency coordination with DCFD, Medcom and onsite personnel.
- Responsible for managing fuel farm activities, including inventory control, fuel quality assurance, storage safety, and distribution to aircraft.
- Lead ARFF readiness, training, equipment maintenance and emergency response coordination. Ensuring that DCFD is adquately postured to respond to aircraft-specific emergency incidences.
- Oversee the budgets and resources allocated to these functions, ensuring optimal use and alignment with organizational goals.
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years professional experience wtih at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role overseeing individual contributors in a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, conduct performance reviews and manage conflict.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Safety, Business Administrated or a related discipline.
- FAA Part 61 and/or Part 107 License
- Proven track record of leading organizaaional change initiatives, especially in high-risk, safety-critical environments.
- Experience participating in or leading emergency response drills, incident command, and Business Continuity Planning.
- Demonstrated history of identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and driving implementation with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt leadership style to varied personality types, fostering an inclusive and high-trust culture.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think, act and drive actions towards strategy
- Ability to drive closure to issues and challenges
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
