Anchored by the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program, the portfolio is undergoing rapid growth associated with multiple product lifecycle phases within CPS and several peer development program efforts.
In this role, you should anticipate:
• Working on advanced missile design, integration, testing, and analysis within a hypersonic weapon system program
• Leveraging past experience in weapon system and missile system/subsystem development and analysis to shape current and future program execution
• Collaborating with program managers, systems and software engineering or engineering leaders to delivery component(s)/subsystem(s), designs, and analysis to programs
• Provides programmatic direction to engineering staff and team(s), collaborates on execution, analysis, design/peer reviews
• Applying proficiency in C++ and MATLAB to develop, verify, validate, and perform analysis, review analysis artifacts of others, assess data products, and delivery technical summary briefings
• Communicating technical results effectively and working collaboratively across teams, working groups, review boards, and technical execution teams
• Support Agile execution of programs and projects through proposals, planning/backlog development, product ownership, and staffing coordination
Job Responsibilities and Navigation Specialist tasks, will include:
• Develop and review data packages, analysis, and presentations for working groups, review board
• Coordinate internal efforts and external elements (partner, subcontractor, peer prime) to develop, verify, and validate navigational sensors and algorithms to achieve weapon system performance
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements across simulation, hardware testing, and full system test execution
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.
Successful applicants generally have at least 9+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.
