Standard Job Description

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to program and functional leadership to influence and positively impact the organization. This position provides leaders with coaching, consultation, and guidance regarding effective management of people, structure, organization effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee relations issues. Other responsibilities will include partnering with HR Centers of Excellence in designing and delivering innovative HR solutions for the business.

The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate and influence, build strong relationships at all levels within the organization and become a trusted advisor. The individual must possess HR functional knowledge and be able to leverage subject matter experts from HR Centers of Expertise to formulate recommendations and offer effective solutions. The individual must be a collaborative team player who is able to understand/develop business acumen, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and practice a growth mindset.

 

Responsible for designing and driving human capital initiatives to align with business objectives for assigned client groups. Serves as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues. Acts as an employee champion and change agent. Assesses and anticipates human capital requirements and opportunities, partnering with functional experts to develop and implement integrated solutions. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units financial position, strategic plans, culture and competition.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
  • Prior HR related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence.
  • U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills

  • Advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related degree.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Prior experience supporting a Line of Business or Functional Organization.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $74900.00 - $139100.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $67400.00 - $125200.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $59900.00 - $111300.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $53900.00 - $100100.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
