Standard Job Description
The candidate will participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) and a college/university where they are enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company. Candidate will perform assigned tasks in technical/engineering disciplines e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
Specifically, the candidate will perform test engineering in support of the In Service Support (ISS) of the Combat Management System (CMS 330) for the Halifax Class Frigates at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Halifax. This will include:
- Writing automated test using Sikuli
- Requirements Engineering
- Software Design
- Programming and debugging in Java
- Unit testing and documentation
- Statusing and Metrics Reporting
- Various other tasks as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Current student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or substantially similar field
- Able to work 100% on-site
- Knowledge and experience in Python
- Active Security Clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with Sikuli IDE
- Experience with Linux OE
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Current or previous security clearance is highly desired.
