This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

Develops a global sourcing strategy for commodities (categories.) Defines project scope and facilitates execution, identifying savings opportunities in order to provide differentiating value. Works with Business Area, Business Unit or Enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams to analyze supply base risks & opportunities, identify new sources of supply and meet business requirements. Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with suppliers to drive innovative strategies that enhance performance. Implements policies and metrics to ensure that savings goals are realized and performance requirements are achieved. Acts as the main focal point for all matters pertaining to the given category. Responsible for quality and performance of supplier products. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

The preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work:  Denver, Colorado, and be expected to work in the office; however, hybrid work arrangements to be discussed during interviews. 

 

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, Proposal, and/or Category Management)
  • Knowledge of SAP/P2P Purchasing System, PO Folders, procedures
  • Experience with management of Cost, Technical, Schedule, Risk and Opportunity
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk mitigation plans, resolve cost and schedule issues to meet program needs, conflict management as necessary, and manage an Integrated Product Team.
  • Demonstrated experience directing all phases of the subcontract from request for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost
    accountability, and program execution.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams overseeing subcontractors, suppliers, or critical subcontracted systems

 

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Previous experience with procurement processes and regulations under DoD (FAR, DFAR, TINA, and or ITAR)
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring matters/issues to successful closure.
  • Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
