As part of the Space Software Product Line (SSPL) team, you will play a key role delivering Space Vehicle (SV) and payload flight software (FSW) toward our continued success. Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Project Lead within the Space Software Product Line (SSPL) you will contribute to our mission by:
- Ensure startup tasks are conducted and completed prior to entering cadence-based execution
- Ensure implementation of business rhythms and cadence-based execution in accordance with this SDP and the project management process
- Participate in release planning to communicate customer values, program vision, and business objectives of the release
- Work with staffing managers to staff teams as required to perform workload per staffing plan
- Establish and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Managing project Earned Value, analyzing variances and managing Estimate To Complete (ETC)
- Establish and maintain a product backlog and whole project roadmap at level mapped to the IMS
- Keep SSPL Leadership apprised of program status through PMR and other reviews
- Coordinating SSPL involvement at any required program business rhythms such as Engineering Review Board, Risk and Opportunity Management Board, Operations Reviews
- Collaborating with project stakeholders such as IPT Lead, CAM, Finance Analyst, Planner, Program Manager, Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering and Integration and Test Lead
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of software engineering or equivalent engineering/technical experience
- Experience leading a team in an Agile software environment
- Experience with planning and executing large SW efforts
- Strong technical leadership skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience supporting program proposals and performing software estimates
Desired Skills
- Experience with Software Development Metrics
- Experience with GitLab, Atlassian Tools, SBOMs, Static Code Analysis, and Releasability
- Understanding of earned values concepts
- Experience building strong customer relationships
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
