The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

Applies functional knowledge to the design and customization of SAP or PeopleSoft client/server application to meet the company's requirements and systems needs. Understands content, processes, and procedures associated with implementing enterprise applications. Writes functional requirements, develops test plans, and works with production issues. Works with developers to ensure requirements are being met. At higher levels, serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with implementing enterprise applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused aircraft maintenance engineer. You will undertake maintenance and certification within scope of authorisation.
You will be responsible for ensuring aircraft are airworthy in accordance with prescribed aviation standards. Responsible for the work you perform and are required to endorse all maintenance and General Aviation Tasking (if required) completed in the aircraft continuing airworthiness record system and supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation related duties by providing Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance within the scope of your authorisation

Responsibilities

  • Platform specific safety familiarisation course (or equivalent)

  • Competence assessment on the task being authorised

  • System or component specific courses for component level maintenance

  • An understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles

  • Demonstrated understanding of WH&S requirements

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring in support of OJT progression and technical supervision of a team

  • Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in a relevant discipline Aeroskills – Mechanical, from a recognised institution

  • Appropriate aircraft trade qualifications (eg. trade papers, apprenticeship, indentures etc).

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASRs

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to work rotating roster 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance (visit AGSVA website for more information about Security Clearances) 

  • Tertiary qualifications - Certificate IV or above in Aeroskills – Mechanical from a recognised institution

  • Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) on applicable type

  • Meets authorisation requirements under 16 Avn Bde DASR 145 MOE.
