The Work
The selected Principal Test Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the GWS-GSS IPT. You be responsible for scheduling the tests for execution and then will monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.
Standard Job Description
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 10 years of related experience, or 8 years of experience with a PhD.
-Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.
-Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.
-Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.
-Experience in C++ development
-Experience using Python and other scripting languages
-Experience using Eggplant or other GUI based toolset
-Experience with Gitlab or Bitbucket
-Experience with National Team and MDA System Integration
-Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
-Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $182500.00 - $338900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
