Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full time Software Test Engineer.  In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, code & unit test, integration testing, requirements verification, and support to formal test/delivery.  

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as Perl, Python, and C++. Must be a US Citizen;  this position will require Interim Secret government security clearance prior to starting and the ability .  This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficient in Python, and C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary, team‑based groups.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM‑related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Experience across the full software life‑cycle (design, architecture, development, integration, test, qualification).
  • Familiarity with embedded software/hardware (hands‑on or academic).
  • Working knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scanning).
  • Comfortable in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to test and verify software against defined requirements.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $122600.00 - $227600.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $110300.00 - $204900.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $98100.00 - $182100.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $88300.00 - $163900.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
