Standard Job Description

The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is in search of an All up Round System Integrator / Product Owner to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

This role is a System Integration Responsible Systems Engineer (SI RSE) with full product ownership of the asset.  Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the Systems Integrator Responsible Systems Engineer for the flight test All up Round (AUR) with full product ownership
  • Ensure that all products come together in an integrated AUR – Electrical Design, Mechanical Design, Software Design, Architecture, major subsystems, and support designs into an integrated NGI AUR system
  • Ensure the missile is internally integrated to achieve its technical, programmatic, and customer established needs
  • Work closely with technical and program leadership to ensure the system operates as intended
  • Define, Control, Maintain and Update AUR Configuration (inclusive of SW) by part number, ensuring the asset meets all requirements and user objectives, to include:
    • EPDM product structure, Electrical Schematic, Drawings
    • HW, SW pedigree expectations to accomplish goals
    • Includes work arounds, temp configurations, etc. and products to accomplish these goals
  • Assess and establish schedule impacts for engineering revisions, coordinating with applicable planners based on scope delineation
  • Coordinate with delivering HW/SW organizations and AI&T to ensure on-time deliverables and integration to meet program milestones
  • Support delivery of asset for flight test
  • Required TRR stakeholder - Voting member of all operations on the asset coordinating with key stakeholders (SEIT, AUR, SW, etc), including workarounds for late/missing HW/SW/GSE

Basic Qualifications

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing Hardware and/or software testing for integration and verification on complex satellite or missile programs
  • Demonstrated extensive technical leadership in product integration and test, working with multidiscipline groups and managing large geographically dispersed teams
  • Electrical Integration experience
  • HW/SW Integration experience

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering in related discipline
  • Minimum of 10+ years of Systems design, Integration Test and/or Assembly, Integration, & Test experience in a lab environment
  • DOD Customer interface experience
  • Electrical Ground Support Equipment development or test experience
  • Missile or Weapon System Development
  • Project Engineering and leadership on complex Satellite or Missile Programs

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
