The Hypersonics Advanced Programs team is looking for an Engineering Aide on the Next Generation Hypersonic Glide Body (NXGB) team for a rapid design to flight test project. In this role, you will report to the Systems Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities may include:
- Follow and enforce proper configuration management
- Update and maintain the Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) database
- Track and deliver formal contract deliverables to the government customer
- Moderate peer reviews of engineering documents, drawings, and specifications
- Facilitate technical and non-technical related discussions for engineers, program managers, and stakeholders across multiple teams and locations
- Schedule meetings, maintain agendas, capture notes, and provide meeting minutes for the System Engineering team and program level meetings
- Update databases such as DOORS and Collaborator as determined by responsible engineers
- Produce engineering documentation, reports, PowerPoint slides (flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, plans, schedules)
- Review engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with governing documentation and requirements
- Compile release packages ensuring all documentation is present
- Coordinate change requests and action items with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and other stakeholders
- Support coordination and logistics of formal design review meetings
- Track action items
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines across a small, fast-paced, dynamic program; adapting to the rapidly changing environment of a development program on a challenging schedule
- Use your excellent communication skills and self-motivating drive to work across Lockheed Martin business areas to progress towards a common goal
- Promote a positive teamwork culture within a small, diverse team spread across multiple sites
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
Basic Qualifications
- Some college in a STEM field and/or at least 1 year related work experience
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
- Associate's degree or 2 years towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely to leaders and stakeholders
- Highly organized; must be able to track items to completion and report status regularly
- Experience with configuration management
- Experience facilitating or moderating technical discussions
- Experience in the defense or space industry
- Experience writing technical documentation
- Experience with Windchill EPDM or database management
- Highly adept with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Active Secret clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $48200.00 - $89400.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
