Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an Industrial Engineer Stf for our Missile Assembly team at Pike County Operations (PCO) in Troy, Alabama. Our team is responsible for Industrial Engineering activities that analyze and improve processes, reduce costs, and drive decisions now and in the future.

 

What You Will Be Doing

As the Industrial Engineer Stf, you will be leading Industrial Engineering activities that optimize processes and inform current and future decision-making.  This role will work closely with the Product Manager, Program Support Team, and functional teams to accelerate production readiness.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying areas of focus for production improvement across a wide scope
  • Applying continuous improvement methodologies to production and leading major improvement efforts
  • Planning, analyzing, and implementing factory, layout, and workflow optimization
  • Driving strategic decision-making through data analysis, clear reporting, and delivering presentations to senior leadership

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, or a similar Engineering discipline
  • Experience in Industrial Engineering/Lean Six Sigma/Affordability, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly Excel
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and retain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting
  • Must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background investigation to obtain “employee possessor” approval (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment

Desired Skills

  • 7+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with a master’s degree
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred
  • Proven expertise in flow analysis and industrial engineering: Ability to optimize material, product, and information flow using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and discrete event simulation to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance overall system efficiency
  • Experience planning, launching, and ramping up production lines or manufacturing areas
  • Experience supporting production line design, layout, and workflow optimization
  • Experience using production analytics and simulation tools (e.g. Tableau, Simio, Arena, etc.) or Excel to model, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Experience analyzing production data to identify issues and implement process improvements
  • Strong communication skills, including building and delivering presentations to Senior Leadership
  • Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC) production data systems (Windchill MPM-Link, Apriso, SAP)
  • Leadership experience including developing teams and driving performance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
