<b>WHO WE ARE</b>

Experienced International Trade Compliance professional to support the Derco RMS-TLS line of business based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Orlando, Florida, Stratford, CT, Marietta, GA, or Fort Worth, TX.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the U.S. Export control laws and regulations including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and export Administration Regulations (EAR). In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Performing as the International Licensing Analyst, Staff and primary point of contact for Derco’s programs.
  • Preparation, implementation, and modification of export license applications, technical assistance agreements, and exemption or exception usage to support program execution and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with various functional stakeholders to define licensing requirements and develop licensing strategy.
  • Provide guidance and ensure compliance with export authorizations.
  • Researching, interpreting, and applying government regulations such as the ITAR and EAR.
  • Conducting compliance activities such as ITC training for program teams on the scope of export licenses and interpretation of provisos.
  • Conducting export compliance self-assessments to ensure compliance with terms of relevant licenses and LM policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and approving requests for the export of hardware, data, and defense services.
  • Reviewing EEI filings for accuracy, reconciling licenses, reviewing and approving Visit requests, reviewing documentation for Export Controlled Information.
  • Manage Part 130 submissions and monitor/approve Consultant commission payments.

Basic Qualifications

-In-depth knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and USML categories and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Commerce Control List ECCNs and utilizing ITAR exemptions/EAR exceptions

-Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate it into clear, practical guidance for internal stakeholders

-Demonstrated experience in drafting and managing license applications for both the Department of Commerce and the Department of State, including Technical Assistance Agreements.

-Ability to develop strategies to mitigate risk and enforce compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Detailed knowledge of, and ability to research, interpret and apply complex government regulations such as the Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customs and Border Protections (CBP).

-Working knowledge of INCOTERMS.

-Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years professional experience and specialized training.  Or 10 or more years of related experience without a degree.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
