THE WORK

 

As a Maintenance Training Supervisor at our West Palm Beach site, you will lead the establishment and delivery of technical training essential for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, and ground equipment. You will coordinate a team of trainers to ensure a seamless workflow and the continuous development of technical knowledge across the organization.

 

By optimizing training programs and maintaining rigorous documentation, you will ensure that our maintainers meet the highest standards of safety and performance, directly supporting Lockheed Martin's commitment to operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate a team of trainers to achieve collective goals and maintain efficient operational workflows.

• Analyze current operating problems and future requirements to identify training gaps and develop comprehensive technical training programs.

• Manage the production of instructional materials used for technical training on aircraft systems, tools, and facilities.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of maintainers' flight jackets and training requirements to ensure full compliance.

• Utilize data analytics and business software to measure ROI and track the success of training initiatives.

• Collaborate with leaders across multiple organizational levels to align training efforts with business objectives.

• Create and maintain a skills matrix to track technician competencies and identify growth opportunities.

• Apply AS9100D requirements to ensure all training and maintenance activities meet aerospace quality standards.

• Identify potential risks and opportunities within training operations and propose effective solutions.

• Operate with a high degree of self-direction while maintaining strict attention to detail in all work products.

You are a disciplined leader with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing and a proven ability to guide teams toward operational excellence. You combine technical expertise in aircraft systems with a data-driven approach to review training programs that ensure safety and compliance.

 

A level 3 employee is mid-career and typically has 3+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications

Previous production operations/manufacturing experience

Previous leadership experience

Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries

Proficiency with data analytics/analysis in support ROI success

Strong business software skills (e.g. MS Office Suite and website/data warehouse applications)

US Citizenship is requied due to program requirements.

Prior experience leading in a represented manufacturing environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
