The Lockheed Martin Space Orion ATLO Systems Integration and Test Engineer focused on Strategic Initiatives include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Supports the Orion ATLO project office in all strategic activities.
• Participates as a member of the ATLO team in strategic planning, business operations, and problem resolution discussions.
• Acts as a direct contact between the ATLO leadership and Orion Program groups, Customer, and other ATLO and supporting organizations.
• Exercises tasking authority on behalf of the Orion ATLO leadership: provides oversight, direction, and closure of action items.
• Prioritization and facilitation of staff activities and information, development of executive-level correspondence, talking points, white papers, presentations and interaction with internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Leads special projects in strategy, operations, and other initiatives related to the ATLO Organization.
• Collaborates on a frequent basis with all Space Lines of Business, Business Areas, and all other functions in support of both Space and joint priorities.
• Will perform other related duties and assignments as required.

The successful candidate possesses excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and executive presence. In addition, the candidate excels in fast-paced, high-demand environments with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task competing priorities.

The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: 

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
