Responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify Cyber solutions across the lifecycle. Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions. Coordinates and addresses Supply Chain risk management concerns. Develop, evaluate and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the Cyber domain. Coordinate with Cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of solutions. Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements. Employs cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application. Implements appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers. Cyber Security Engineer – Technical Lead

What You’ll Do
- Lead cyber‑risk assessments: threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, mitigation design.
- Evaluate design constraints, trade‑offs, and system/security architecture.
- Test hardware/software for compliance.
- Apply consistent cyber‑security processes, tools and techniques.
- Manage Assessment & Authorization activities.
Key Responsibilities
- POA&M work‑off planning & execution.
- EVSS administration, vulnerability audits and remediation.
- Define Body of Evidence (BoE) for change requests.
- Create and run Demonstration Test Plans.
- Investigate change requests and software builds.
- Review COTS/GOTS software and assess risk.
- Daily audit analysis and log reviews.
- Develop IATT/CONOPS definitions and approvals.
- Design security architecture and provide STIG hardening guidance.
- Define, execute and report security testing (incl. gov‑witness tests).
- Support government audits and security‑tool design.

Basic Qualifications
1. DOD 8570/8140 Certification.
2. Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using Risk Management Framework methodologies.
3. Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
Desired Skills
1. Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals - Authority To Operate
2. Experience with NetBrain, Zenoss and Hewlett Packard Network Automation (HPNA)
3. Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs
4. Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems
5. Experience with Intel Driven Threat Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support
6. Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill
7. Knowledge of NIST 800-53
8. Experience with RHEL and Windows Server/Professional
9. Experience with SIEM and cloud technologies including LogRhythm, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence
10. DoD 8570/8140 Certification
11. Experience with responding to cyber incidents from detection through remediation.
12. Intuitive and proactive self-starter that’s accountable and mission focused.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
