Role Overview

The Manufacturing Support Team Member supports production and business processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. In this role, you will help coordinate production-related work, track schedules and materials, communicate operational information, support problem resolution, and contribute to process improvements. You will work with partners across production, planning, engineering, quality, material management, and other functions. The role provides an opportunity to build broader experience across manufacturing operations while contributing to day-to-day production performance.

 

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Support production, planning, quality, manufacturing, material management, systems, equipment, facilities, and related operational activities.
  • Track and coordinate work orders, production schedules, inventory, hardware, and work-in-progress (WIP).
  • Use computer systems and business tools to track production status, schedules, and operational metrics.
  • Communicate production information, requirements, and issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Support product planning and production-related problem resolution.
  • Contribute to process improvement and process reengineering activities.
  • Support coordination with internal and external customers on product planning, status, and problem resolution, as applicable.
  • Provide training in core skill areas to teams and coworkers, as assigned.
  • Facilitate team activities and support collaborative work, as assigned.

 

Work Environment

  • This is a team-based manufacturing role that works across multiple functions supporting production and operational activities.
  • The position requires the physical capabilities identified in the Basic Qualifications, including standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, as required by the work.
  • The position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
  • Experience tracking or coordinating production-related work, such as work orders, production schedules, inventory, hardware, or work-in-progress (WIP).
  • Ability to communicate production and operational information clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using computer systems or business tools to track production status, schedules, or operational metrics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, as required by the work.

Desired Skills

Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using SAP or another manufacturing or production tracking system.
  • Experience supporting process improvement or continuous improvement activities.
  • Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67400.00 - $125200.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
