The Widow’s Web (WW) team is searching for a high energy individual with an extensive background in modeling and analysis methodologies.  The selected candidate will lead the analysis efforts for high fidelity space systems simulation software used to help decision-makers optimize the use of on-orbit assets.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assess performance of a high-fidelity space systems simulation tool
  • Develop modeling algorithms
  • Verify models perform in accordance with requirements

Standard Job Description

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with modeling, simulating, and analyzing satellite systems
  • Experience in modeling and simulation tools such as STK
  • US Citizen with current TS clearance with investigation within the past 5 years
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Desired Skills

  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with mission planning and scheduling
  • Comfortable working in Linux environment
  • ISR domain experience
  • Programming and scripting experience using MATLAB, Python, R, or similar languages
  • Experience leading analysis projects or efforts
  • Demonstrated track record of authoring final deliverables documenting analysis methodology, assumptions, and conclusions
  • Experience with applying Data Science and Machine Learning techniques within analysis to drive more comprehensive results
  • Strong Math, Physics, and Statistics background
  • Demonstrated capability to proactively work through difficult technical, project and resource challenges in often ambiguous circumstances
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully between multiple engineering disciplines
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
