What does this role look like? 

  • Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production and global sustainment for multiple contract types.
  • Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts.
  • Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. 
  • Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in  King of Prussia, PA,  and be expected to work in the office.

 

Basic Qualifications

 To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with corporate procurement policies and defence acquisition regulations.
  • Familiarity with the end‑to‑end acquisition lifecycle, including request‑for‑proposal (RFP), bid evaluation, contract award, and post‑award administration. 
  • 5+ years of Subcontracts Program Management, Program Management, Project Engineering, or Project Management Experience.
  • Able to achieve delivery to tight schedules in a dynamic work environment.

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Proficiency with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR) guidelines
  • Proficiency with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
  • Knowledge of SAP (or similar) P2P systems.
  • Development and production program experienceRoot Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) experience
  • Risk and Opportunity Management experience
  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers
  • Experience managing multiple contract types
  • Well organized, excellent communicator and team builder
  • Able to work closely with supplier leadership teams to drive performance and accountability
  • Excellent computer skills to develop presentations and utilize systems to maximize work output
  • Capable of identifying and mitigating risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Success in working in multi-functional organisations.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $100200.00 - $186200.00
