Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Valley Forge, PA for a Systems Engineer supporting the supporting the Ground Cyber Electronic Warfare portfolio. WHO YOU ARE
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Systems Engineer to join our team. You will be a contributor to the creation of design solutions that address complex engineering problems across the full system lifecycle. You will develop system requirements and architectures to ensure customer needs and contracts are appropriately translated into the products development cycle, develop operational scenarios, based on the customer’s goals and contractual requirements. You will incrementally develop the product design, delivery optimization requirements, and develop functional, architectural, and detailed designs. You will incrementally develop design to provide added or updated functionality based on operational scenarios, customer requirements, and support key aspects of the technical implementation of the program, by collaborating across a number of disciplines to ensure that technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent across disciplines, and interfacing with stakeholders (e.g., engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met. You will support risk assessments and risk mitigation plans, including balancing technical risks between systems and orchestrate cross-functional collaboration opportunities to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared.

 

THE WORK
Performs hardware/software troubleshooting, support guidance on operations and maintenance, including definition and communication of complete test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities. Work cross-functionally to analyze, test and iterate technical requirements, user stories and operations concepts.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in addition to BS in Engineering STEM field
• Top Secret Security Clearance required prior to start
• Experience working in a rapid pace and agile development environment
• Ability to travel as it may be required to vendors or test events

Desired Skills

• Experience developing system, hardware, and performance requirements
• Experience performing software and/or systems integration and testing 
• Familiarity with Agile systems development and/or DevOps
• Working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
• Methodical approach to problem solving
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
