Standard Job Description

Within the Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) AIR6500 campaign we are looking for a Systems Engineer to support the requirements, architecture and design of the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS).

As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the Systems Level requirements, modeling and verification for JABMS. In this role, you will be developing Systems Engineering artifacts to be presented at System Design Reviews. This work includes requirements development, requirements maturation, maturation of System activity diagrams, development of verification statements, development of test plans and maturing system interfaces. You will work closely with the Australia-based System Architects to get feedback as you mature your design artifacts. Coordinating with LMA will require working at least 1 evening per week, up to 2 evenings per week. A flexible work schedule and use of Flextime is highly encouraged on this team to ensure proper collaboration with the Australia-based stakeholders. As this program uses Agile based methodologies, success for you will be developing high quality Systems Engineering artifacts based on your assigned stories which are approved by program leadership and within completed your committed Sprints.

Your knowledge of Systems Engineering fundamentals will be used – and continue to grow -- on a day to day basis. This is an opportunity to shape a design by integrating requirements with architecture artifacts and verification approaches. You will be in the IBM Jazz suite of tools on a daily basis and will be expected to learn those tools on the fly and through self-paced training.

Joining this team puts you in the center of a corporate focused program and provides you the opportunity to directly impact its success. This role will allow you to continue support the AIR6500 offerings and related international offerings as your career grows.
