Lockheed Martin Ventures (LMV) is seeking an energetic R&D Program Manager to drive the IRAD portfolio that fuels inorganic value creation.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will serve as the strategic linchpin between internal technology and product teams, business‑area and functional stakeholders, and our portfolio companies, ensuring seamless integration of external capabilities into Lockheed Martin products and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the planning, organization, control, and integration of LMV IRAD projects, driving end‑to‑end execution within cost and schedule constraint.
- Partner with internal technology, product, business‑area, and functional teams to ensure IRAD initiatives support the broader transition strategy.
- Lead projects and initiatives that unlock value for Lockheed Martin and enable portfolio companies to capture high‑impact opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver status briefings, metrics dashboards, and technical summaries to leadership and external stakeholders; ensure clear, timely information flow across all stakeholders.
- Leverage best practices and lessons learned to refine processes and increase the efficacy of future projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by team leadership

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This role is partially remote, with preference for geographical alignment to a major Lockheed Martin Site and travel up to 25%. Eligibility for Secret (or higher) security clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline combined with 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Self‑starter with a generalist mindset, capable of balancing strategic thinking with operational discipline.
- Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and build deep, trusted relationships.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering programs across cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.
Desired Skills
- MBA or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
- IPT/Technical Lead experience including budget management, schedule development, and task planning.
- Risk‑management experience including identification, mitigation, abatement planning, and tracking
- Active Secret Clearance or higher

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
