The Kayenne Program develops and maintains a secure, hybrid environment that facilitates high priority defense initiatives, in addition to developing and integrating highly-available software applications. 

The Dev Sec Ops Engineer will work alongside Software Engineers and Data Scientists to migrate existing and new mission-focused analytics applications to a cloud native platform. This person will quickly gain deep knowledge of existing systems, map functionality to platform services, and ensure implementations comply with customer Risk Management Framework security requirements. In this role, you will support tasks such as:

1. Migration Planning: Identify platform services that replace legacy functionality. Architect and implement migration plans for defined systems. Estimate effort and risk.
2. Development and Maintenance: Develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes cluster configurations, cluster workflows, and infrastructure applications.
3. Security Compliance: Implement infrastructure systems while maintaining compliance controls defined by Federal Risk Management Framework security requirements.  
4. Platform Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the external platform team to provision resources, resolve integration issues, and adopt platform best practices.

Performs tech planning, design, devel, integ, v&v for total syst life cycle. Analyses performed at all levels of syst product incl. concept, design, fabrication, test, instl, operation, maintenance & disposal, incorp design methods & stds for Cyber Security, SW & HW infrastructure. Designs, devels, docs, tests & debugs SW that contains logical & math solutions to business/mission problems/questions in computer language. Ensures the logical & syst conversion of customer/product reqs into total syst solutions that ack tech, sched, cost constraints & align to SW & HW deployment pipelines & factories. Performs func & timeline analysis, detail trade & reqs allocation & interface defs studies to translate customer reqs into HW & SW feature defs & acceptance criteria. Applies stds, processes, procedures & tools throughout the devel life cycle. Applies HW & SW knowledge, cyber security stds in business/mission apps, & feedback from users to develop SW. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles doc of program devel & analyzes syst capabilities to resolve program problems, output/input data acq, programming tech & controls. Ensures SW stds are met. Validates incorp of features & use cases into implemented designs

Basic Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of experience configuring and maintaining cloud‑native infrastructure (containers, Kubernetes clusters, IaC, CI/CD pipelines).

• 1+ years of experience developing software that aids infrastructure management (Kubernetes operators, custom high‑availability logic).

• Strong programming experience (Python, Java, Go, Bash, PowerShell).

• Experience applying federal risk‑management and 
information‑security standards in cloud‑native environments.

• Familiarity with IaC tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, Helm, ArgoCD).

A TS/SCI with Poly clearance need to start this position.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).

• Familiarity with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Kibana).

• Familiarity with secrets managers (AWS Secrets Manager, AWS KMS).

• Familiarity/interest in MLOps pipelines (MLFlow, Kubeflow, KServe).

Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00
