Standard Job Description

The Environmental & Functional Test Technician installs and certifies thermocouples on flight and non flight hardware, then operates and monitors thermal‑vacuum (TVAC) and environmental test chambers to simulate the extreme hot‑ and cold‑cycle conditions of space. The technician must understand the chamber systems, thermal control hardware, and associated test procedures, and work closely with engineers, program managers, and other maintenance disciplines to ensure successful test execution.

Basic Qualifications
| • Basic background in AC/DC Electricity and basic test equipment • Must be able to read and comprehend written work instructions. • Basic computer skills including experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Suggest, evaluate, implement and sustain process improvements. • Able to comprehend and follow work instructions. • Additional duties may be assigned by management. • Able to occasionally flex work shift to support critical business operations. • Be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Select Clearance. • Employment is contingent upon successful completion and maintenance of all required certifications for this role. |
