Flight Software Systems Integration Lead

Define and implement end‑to‑end telemetry downlink architectur
Represent Systems Engineering in FSW Development and Integratio
Define HW/SW Interfaces
Conduct hardware-in-the loop (HWIL) testing to verify timing, synchronization and data integrity
Create and execute ground‑test and flight‑test plans for telemetry downlink performance, including link‑budget analysis, bit‑error‑rate (BER) testing, and end‑to‑end data validation.

Standard job description for this position

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development or systems integration for aerospace/missile systems
• Proficiency in C/C++ (embedded), Python/MATLAB for scripting and analysis, and familiarity with real‑time operating systems
• Strong understanding of telemetry protocols, RF communications, modulation/demodulation, and link‑budget calculation
• Hands‑on experience with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) test rigs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition system
• Active and Current Secret Clearance required. Thus US Citizenship is required  

Desired Skills

• Systems Engineering: Ability to produce and interpret Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system architecture diagrams.
• Signal Processing: Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) for real‑time telemetry conditioning, compression, and error‑correction.
• Mission‑Critical Operations: Prior involvement in live‑flight or test‑range activities, including real‑time data monitoring and post‑flight analysis.
• Cross‑Domain Collaboration: Proven track record working with multi‑disciplinary teams (GNC, propulsion, avionics, ground‑station) in a fast‑paced defense environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice​
