Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

This role within the Production Harness Test Lab will include:

  • Configuring and adjusting test setups.
  • Calibrating and verifying test equipment.
  • Execute testing on flight and test harnessing and subsystems to prepare for satellite vehicle delivery and electrical ground support equipment.. 
  • Working from schematics, engineering drawings and written instructions.
  • Operating harness testing equipment (DITMCO and Cirris wire test systems, Multimeters, Ohm meters, ect).
  • Conducting tests and reporting data in the prescribed format. 
  • Responsible for test initiation, closure, and communication of encountered issues to engineering, support teams, and leadership.

The work schedule is 1st Shift, Friday through Monday (Weekend) (4x10).

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and maintenance of all required internal certifications for this role.

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Must be able to interpret harness drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications, and standards.
  • Work or classroom knowledge and experience with basic electronics (resistors, transistors, inductors, capacitors, diodes, sensors, etc.)
  • Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Candidate must be available Monday - Friday for training until on the job training is completed.

 

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity and experience with harness design and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with any computer software language application and basic software skills (C++, Python, etc)
  • Experience working with DITMCO and Cirris wire test systems and DITMCO/Cirris test program development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of Multi-tasking in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $47100.00 - $87500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
