Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Responsibilities:
- Role supports the Global Positioning System (GPS) Future Capabilities team in conducting various new technology and capability insertion efforts.
- Maintain an understanding of GPS space/ground segments and technical roadmaps, with the ability to aid Product Owners in addressing specific technical projects
- Daily coordination with project technical leads, sub-contractors, and customers to develop and execute cost, schedule, and technical plans across various projects.
- Represent LM in Agile-based sprint meetings with both LM and customer leads
- Coordinate with customers to ensure project requirements are defined, understood, and where necessary coordinate flow downs to sub-contractors
- Lead one or more project/study efforts comprised of 3 to 5 SMEs and related subcontracted scope
- Prepare and manage development of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost and schedule estimates as well as support Request for Proposal (RFP) and offer develeopment efforts.
- Serves as Control Account Management (CAM) and supports monthly financial businuess rhythm reviews with internal and customer leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 3+ years of spacecraft/satellite experience performing engineering, fabrication, assembly, or testing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Desired Skills
- Master's degree in engineering discipline
- Prior GPS experience in space, control, or user segments
- Detailed oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Agile or SAFe principals
- Experience in technical project management and planning/scheduling
- Experience in developing project schedules, SOWs, and project cost estimating
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
