WHAT WE'RE DOING
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for Software professionals to work on Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect and defend the information flow of critical and time sensitive data on many military application and networks.

WHO YOU ARE
The candidate will be working in an agile development environment on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and will be responsible for supporting elements of the design/sustainment/development efforts. The candidate should be a well-rounded software developer with experience in an object-oriented language, such as C++ or Java. The candidate should be a self-starter that is attentive to details and works well in a team.
THE WORK
Duties to include software design and development in a variety of programming languages, including Java, C++, and Python, SELinux policy creation, maintenance and debugging, message parser development, XML schema development, networking, shell script development, and software test. The work environment offers a substantial amount of technical variety.
Additionally, the proven ability to provide software engineering is required. Flexibility and agility to changing requirements and programming languages, and a desire to learn and experience new opportunities to improve team performance is a must. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This team utilizes Agile methodologies, with 4 3-month increments per year. Each increment has 4 3-week sprints. A typical sprint will include planning, retrospectives, demos to stakeholders, development and test stories, and finally selloffs to track progress to a product owner. The development team works within the Deer Creek facility and at times can work remotely.
Additionally, as a developer for Radiant Mercury, you will have the opportunity to volunteer to support the end customers by travelling to site and performing installations or training of the product.
The individual selected for this team will need to be comfortable working independently and in a team environment. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a strong problem solver.
Many digital transformation techniques are used within the development environment including Jenkins, Git, Atlassian Suite of Tools, automated testing through software integration tests (SWIT), GoogleTest, and JUnit.
Basic Qualifications
• Working knowledge of C++ or Java
• Familiarity with the Linux operating system
• Solid communication skills
• DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance

• Some knowledge of network programming (TCP, UDP, IPC)
• Unit Testing – GoogleTest and JUnit
• Python, Perl, Bash
• Security Enhanced (SE) Linux
• Security+ certification

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
