THE WORK
- Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products.
- Performs verification and validation of test equipment including hardware in the loop systems.
- Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
- Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes.
- Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes.
- Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation.
- Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements.
- Reviews include requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards
• Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements
• Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers
- Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).
- Knowledge of software development life cycle models
- Knowledge of configuration management and control tools
- Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Integration & Test)
- Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development
- Experience with ClearQuest, DOORS, VersionOne (Agility), and/or other Configuration Management tools
- Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with code collaborator tools
- Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
- Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
- Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
- Lean/Six Sigma Green belt
- ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
- Knowledge of AS9100D and CMMI requirements
- Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
