The Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Team is seeking a Mechanical Systems Integrator

The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Perform mechanical interface definition, documentation, and change management
• Define and manage system assembly and installation plans and drawings
• Perform analysis to evaluate interface compatibility and coordinate solutions to resolve discrepancies
• Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning, and execution
• Develop plans to on-ramp new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission
• Participate in and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews
• Participate in failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards
• Create, modify, and interpret mechanical drawings to support system integration

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g. Solidworks, CREO, Inventor, etc.)

• Experience with one or more of the following:
a. Mechanical design
b. Mechanical integration
c. Mechanical hardware installation

• Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required

Desired Skills

• Experience defining and documenting mechanical system interfaces

• CREO CAD modeling/drawing/configuration control

• Product Data Management (PDM) experience

• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
experience

• Familiarity throughout the Systems Engineering process

• Missile and/or weapon system experience

• Experience integrating on Navy platforms

• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other related discipline or equivalent work experience

• Active or Current DoD Secret Security Clearance

• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00
