Lockheed Martin is looking for an emerging System Engineer to perform system integration and delegate CPE for critical mission payloads
• Lead systems review of payload to segment detailed integration and test plans, procedures and scripts
• Lead systems review of payload as-run test and performance data
• Lead trade studies for Payload operation/optimization
• Perform failure investigations/ resolution
Standard Job Description :-
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in supporting space system engineering
- Demonstrated capability to lead and coordinate across multiple program technical disciplines
- Experience in mission Payload development, integration, or operations
- Active and current TS/SCI w/poly required. Thus US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
- Experience in electro-optics
- Experience in payload requirements and verification
- Experience with supporting senior program/customer leaders
- Experience in payload failure investigations/ resolution
- Experience with Python scripting
- Experience in simulation and test
- Experience in system integration
- Past experience in the operations and maintenance of Satellites and associated Ground command and control systems
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information
GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $131100.00 - $243500.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $118000.00 - $219100.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $104900.00 - $194700.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $94400.00 - $175200.00
