We want you to support the FBM Program by joining the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team as a Systems Engineer. The SEIT Requirements and Verification team handles all system-level requirements for the Trident II ballistic missile (commonly known as the D5LE missile), oversees interface definitions, plans and executes verification processes, and has fingers in every development project under the FBM Program.
We have a Weapon System-level view of the FBM Program with activities related to integrating the D5LE missile into the submarine weapon system, as well as supporting efforts to integrate missile subsystems into the flight vehicle design.
As the FBM Requirements and Verification Systems Engineering Associate Manager, you will:
• Lead the missile performance requirements and verification effort through modernization and sustainment efforts
• Integrate a multi-disciplinary analysis team in verification of system-level performance requirements
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Develop, analyze, and verify system-level requirements and document & manage accordingly
• Coordinate with customer and other contractors to execute verification analyses and tests
• Organize/coordinate domain expert objective evidence creation and documentation
• Organize/coordinate system-level technical reviews
• Work collaboratively to define the Requirements and Verification Baseline, and drive execution of the verification and validation plan in support of ground tests, flight tests and deployment.
• Drive requirements, verification and validation process improvement by continuing to evolve MBSE techniques and tools
• Be a Full Spectrum Leader who is disciplined in value driven Systems Engineering and drives design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
• Work closely with your Navy counterpart to develop, test and field a strategic system
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
• Proven leadership experience
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or related engineering discipline with demonstrated systems engineering skills
• Experience with requirements and verification/validation within Systems Engineering highly desired
• Experience with system-level performance analysis
• Experience in flight sciences or missile performance characteristics
• Demonstrated ability to interact with DOD customers and build effective relationships
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools
• Leadership experience within the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Line of Business or for a major Weapon System
• Control Account Management (CAM) principles, techniques, and processes, in either a CAM position, or a role with similar experience
• Experience in Agile Planning principles
• Experience in with CAMEO / Magic Draw Tools and DOORS or DOORS Next requirements database
• Active Top Secret clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
