Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency.  This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on leading the coordination, development, and execution of a test program for the next-gen system 

In this role you will:
- Lead requirements definition for new labs and tests, development of an integrated test plan, and various levels of involvement in test execution.
- Lead the test team's support to systems hardware/software integration, test planning, and execution.
- Lead the development of products needed to conduct testing at factory and in orbit.
- Lead the generation of system test requirements.
- Lead development of key system-level risk reduction test bed
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Have excellent organization and troubleshooting skills and be proficient in understanding hardware/software design, requirements generation, product development, test execution, and verification activities.

This position is contingent on program award, expected in 3Q 2026.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Test preparation activities and test execution of complex systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading small/medium sized teams to achieve demanding technical objectives
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, use of system test beds and/or other high-fidelity risk reduction environments
  • Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required 

Desired Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
  • 8+ years Experience with Systems Integration or Test
  • Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and electrical ground test equipment. 
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
  • Space or Ground segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.
  • Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00
