THE WORK
As an Environmental Safety and Health Engineer with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), your role is pivotal in ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Your responsibilities will encompass both operational and strategic aspects of the site's Industrial Hygiene programs and the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) management system. You will also play a crucial role in supporting teams engaged across RMS.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
• Focus areas may include Industrial Hygiene, Radio Frequency (RF), Chemical Management, Legionella, Noise Surveys, Lasers, Lead, Asbestos, Respiratory Protection and Hazard Communication
• Represent the organization at various levels, effectively conveying the company's strategy and objectives.
• Offer leadership and team support to ESH department members.

Standard Job Description
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 5 years or more of professional experience
• Experience with OSHA, safety and health standards, EPA, state and local environmental regulations and programs
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Skill in working independently and following through on assignments
• U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Certification
• Professional ESH experience in a manufacturing, test, or industrial environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, and Environmental requirements, regulations and associated compliance programs
• Strong working knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) programs, including Industrial Hygiene, RF, and Chemical Management
• Experience conducting injury, accident and close call investigations, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions
• Experience leading or supporting safety committees and cross functional efforts
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels and promote a positive safety culture
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, evacuation planning and crisis management practices
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and programs simultaneously
• Proficiency in problem-solving, risk assessment and hazard identification techniques • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and be flexible
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and collaborate with peers and leadership
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
