Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

THE WORK

The Program Manager will support the Emerging Sensors sub-market segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of programmatic tasks and be provided responsibility for the applicable program sales, EBIT and cash commitments. The candidate responsibilities will include developing & executing to program baselines as well as support of proposal efforts. 

This scope includes:
• Defining and sustaining program rhythms and organizational structures.
• Coordinating cross functional design, build, and test activities, while proactively resolving issues that impact schedule, cost, or performance.
• Leading proposal development and supporting bid to win strategies.
• Steering risk and opportunity management processes, providing timely visibility to leadership and ensuring mitigation actions are executed.

The role demands an organized, results oriented Program Manager with proven capability of coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver results.

Basic Qualifications

Eight years of demonstrated experience coordinating the development of program or project baselines and track performance against the baseline
Experience with execution of development programs or production programs
Experience with EVMS planning, execution and reporting
Demonstrated capability to successfully balance technical, cost and schedule performance in the execution of a program or project
Solid understanding of key programmatic processes to include IRAD and capital planning, EVMS reporting, and program baseline process
Proposal experience including ability to manage proposal preparation through leadership reviews and delivery of the proposal as well as demonstrated ability to provide proposal inputs

Desired Skills

Ability to identify disconnects and raise concerns to program leadership
Risk Management – experienced in risk mitigation and opportunity development. Understands the value of identifying and managing programs risks
Experience with capture of production or development programs
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly technical/engineering environment
Experience implementing or managing advanced development capabilities such as model-based system development, design-for-assembly/design-for-manufacturing, DTUPC process and technical cost estimation
Demonstrated ability to communicate, effectively interface and influence at the IPT-level of program and customer counterparts
Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to effectively present to program leadership, business leadership and prospective customers

Active Secret clearence preferred

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $185400.00 - $344400.00

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$166900.00 - $309900.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$148300.00 - $275500.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$133500.00 - $247900.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.
