Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineering Asc Mgr to support the Relay Ground Station - South Program, based primarily in Boulder, Colorado. In this role you will provide leadership and individual contributions supporting system engineering tasks —including software, hardware, network, systems administration, and test.  You will follow a 9×80 schedule (nine‑hour days, every other Friday off) and may be called upon for occasional on‑call support during off hours or weekend shifts to support operational equipment, participating in both developmental work that meets major program milestones.Your duties will include :Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality products

 

Develop and maintain technical expertise in the Systems engineering discipline, staying current with industry trends and advancements
Demonstrate engaged leadership, leading and motivating teams to solve difficult technical problems and perform with excellenceWork with cross-functional teams to balance resource priorities across project
Collaborate strategically with business area and functional leadership to achieve overall business objectivesDevelop, implement, and maintain engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsEnsure that engineering projects and products meet quality and reliability standards

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent. Proven ability to resolve and drive complex technical issues and challenges to closure
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering Practices (i.e., Requirements, Requirements Decomposition) and Systems Engineering Tools (i.e., DOORS)
  • Prior experience on one of the following programs: OPIR, NGG, or SBIRS
  • Active and current Secret clearance to start. Thus US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills

  • Experience in Waterfall Methodology
  • Experience with MBSE specifically Cameo
  • Active and current Top Secret clearance
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
